The education quality of the School of Business was officially certified on Oct 6, 2008. The School of Business acquired Management Education Certificate conferred by the Korean Association of Business Education Accreditation (KABEA).

The Business Education Qualifying System is a system that certifies and values the educational situation of each university's business school supervised by KABEA. Recent education certification was first operated after the establishment of KABEA in 2005. Only five schools were certified including Hanyang University (HYU), Sogang, Yonsei, Dongguk and Choongbook University out of 26 universities that applied last year.

HYU applied to Education Qualification in October, last year. HYU finally got certified after the committee's preliminary investigation, deliberation of self evaluation report, inspectors' documental review and field inspection, and qualification of committee's final consultations. In the recent certification, diverse areas were considered including the ratio of students to each professor, official professors to each major subjects classes, faculty situation and more. Therefore, School of Business, HYU got recognized as a school that has one of the best educational qualities.

Professor Yea Jong-suk, a dean of the School of Business, said, "This is the result of the diverse effort toward improving our educational environment, supplementing foreign professors and more."
