On November 13th, the “HYU Developing Leadership Academic Discussion Conference” was held by Hanyang Institute of Technology of HYU in HIT’s large conference hall. In this academic discussion conference, there were lots of participants including not only the heads of big companies but also people from Korean Military University, Ministry of Science Technology, Education and Human Resources.
The school’s Leadership Center has been running a program called “HELP: Hanyang Essential Leadership Program” since last year. HELP is an internet lecturing program which all freshmen and sophomore students have to take.
According to the second part of this program, it is about international leaders, and the school invited some international leaders such as Kim Dong-su, the head of DuPont, and Moon Young-duk from Johnson & Johnson to let the students have a chance to listen to their stories.
Professor Song Young-soo, Department of Educational Technology, said that “It was a good chance for the students who came to the conference to understand the current status of international leaders, and it was also a good opportunity to let people outside the school know how well organized our leadership program was.”
