The Social Innovation Center at Hanyang University (HYU) is conducting a highquality education program based on the currently most recognized term, ESG Leadership: Environmental, Social, and Governance Leadership. As one of the most emerging sectors among investors, it is a non-financial performance indicator that many companies are focusing on.

According to Choi Hyeonghun, the head of the “Sustainable ESG Leadership Course” at HYU’s Social Innovation Center, “The course is fulfilling its social responsibility by creating an educational community where students can directly participate in SDGs, which is short for Sustainable Development Goals. In addition, it helps to foster creative and socially innovative talent by contributing to the creation of an ESG management culture that is somewhat unfamiliar to HYU students. It also contributes towards the development of a better global society.”

The program is currently being taught by Kim Minseok, a professor of the Department of Social Innovation at HYU, and has provided basic education related to ESG in the early stages, followed by specific case studies. Communication between students and professors in this program is active; group chat rooms are operated for smooth exchange of information.
