On April 12, the Division of Economics and Finance made a scholarship exchange agreement with Renmin University of China (RUC). Through this exchange, they made an agreement regarding exchange students and joint research.
   From 2008, the Division of Economics and Finance has been holding an annual economic symposium with RUC. To develop their academic relationship, both universities  decided to make a scholarship exchange agreement.
Professor Park Dae-geun, the Dean of the Division of Economics and Finance, emphasized the importance of this agreement by saying, ?UC is one of the top three-prestigious-universities in China. Also, RUC has an active exchange with Keio University in Japan. This agreement will promote relationships and exchange among Korea, China and Japan, which is beneficial to HYU.
   However Park pointed out, ?his agreement needs supplementation. The exchange student program is not actualized yet. So we need more communication with RUC. But within a year, it will be actualized.?The Division of Economics and Finance is also planning to make a scholarship exchange agreement with Nanyang Technological university in Singapore. Nanyang Technological University is one of the best Universities in Singapore, and Singapore is the center of international trade. So, it will be very helpful to the Division of Economics and Finance.
These scholarship exchange agreements are expected to offer opportunities to the Division of Economics and Finance, and furthermore HYU, to grow as an internationally-influential University.
