Hanyang University's (HYU) four graduates got 'Honorable HYU Engineer Award' in May 16th. The ceremony was held in the Westin Chosun Hotel in Seoul. HYU found four graduates who were rewarding. The receivers are Moon Chae-soo, Lee Lee-hyeong, Cheon Woon-dae, Choi Jung-geun, and Seo Byeong-gi. They are regarded as contributors in setting up HYU's reputation as well as helping the social group they are involved in.

  Moon Chae-soo graduated from Mechanical Engineering in 1957. He started his business related to car components. Myeong Hwa Industry is the company he is managing. Now he is making 200 billion won a year and manages approximately 840 employees.

  Lee Lee-hyeong graduated from Architectural Engineering in 1964. He was a former vice president of HYU, and now he is a president of Chung Woon University.

  Choi Jung-guen graduated from Civil Engineering. He was a former the president of Korea Water Resources Corporation, and now he is the governor of Nam Won city.

  Soe Byeong-gi is the current vice president of Hyundai Motor Company. He graduated from Material Science. He started his carrier in Electron Hole. He was the employee of the Hyundai Space and Aircraft and the factory manager of Hyundai Motor Company.

  To celebrate their achievement and effort, HYU is planning on making a sculpture of them to honor their work in the society. Those members would be good role models of other HYU's graduates. "Love in Truth and in Deed" is the essential principle and the educational philosophy of HYU. This award is expected to be a driving force for cultivating Hanyangians to be equipped with the virtue of diligence, honesty, modesty, and devotion.
