On November 5, the Department of Engineering at ERICA Campus will launch the international cooperative education(co-op) program with Drexel University, an American university well-known for cooperative education programs. Beginning from the next spring semester, Hanyang University(HYU) will adopt an onsite practice-based education program across the Department of Architecture, Electronics, Material & Chemical Engineering, Bionano Engineering, and Robotics.

Participating students will be able to take major courses at Drexel University for six months, and
practical co-op education for another six month. For the first semester,as an exchange student, students pay tuition directly to HYU, but for the second semester, students can pay the tuition abroad from the money they earn. Choi Jonghoon, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Bionano Engineering, said,“Hanyangians will be able tolessen financial burdens as they will
get paid from the company in the United States. Also, they can earn their degree and credits which will count towards graduation credits.”
