This refers to the article “For the Victims, Spring has Yet to Arrive” in previous issue of the  Hanyang Journal. Bronze memorial statue in front of Japanese embassy, Seoul is a reminder of Japanese Imperial Army war crimes and tireless Wednesday demonstrations by Korean Civil Society. Japanese stance that its erection is violation of Geneva Convention is wrong. Japan needs to face history instead of asking to remove it. The world will appreciate her if she officially acknowledges history and apologizes war victims.
