Jeong Il-woo, famous for the drama Unobstructed Highkick, was accepted into HYU. He will be a freshman in the
Department of Theater and Cinema this year. Before starting the semester, The Hanyang Journal met him at the studio taking a photo shots for an Anycall commercial and talking about his coming campus life.

“I am very happy to be a freshman in HYU. Especially, my first movie, My Love released last winter, was shot at HYU. At that time I did not know that I could be a freshman at HYU. And I heard that there are many restaurants selling pajeon, Korean pan fried food. It is one of my favorite foods. So this semester, I would like to eat this many times,” said Jeong.

Most entertainers are not enthusiastic about their school life because of their busy work life. But there are some stars who are eager for their studies. Likewise, Moon Geun-young in SungKyunKwan university. She is just Il-woo’s age. He answered this question with a bright smile, “I heard that lectures are began on March 3 and the registration for courses is planned on the same day. First of all, beginning with it, I would study hard and try to be a better actor on screen.”

Last March, the Office of Education’s building was full of female students who wanted to see the actor Ha Suk-jin. Because every Monday he took a cultural studies class there. Jeong Il-woo is especially popular to female students. In a point of view, he would be in the same situation. “I think that I would take every lecture related to my major. But I am not sure about taking courses about cultural studies. So I do not think much about that matter. If I take those courses, it could be seen affection to me.”

Every student who past him could be a reporter on a web by taking pictures. As his entrance into HYU is such a hot issue, he could be prone to constant unpermitted phtography ecposure. on this issue he said “Well, I could not say anything about that, because I have not experienced HYU university life.”

Lee Tae-lan, a veteran Korean actress will also be a freshman of HYU along with him. “Yes, she is a big senior of mine. Actually, it could be difficult to familiarize, but I think it is a good chance to learn many things from her in that her acting deserves respect. So I want to become familiar as fast as I can,” he said.

Jeong Il-woo is a man of promise of this year. But recently his activities are hard to see. So it is inconvenient not to see his face in the mass media. But with the beginning of the semester, HYU students can see his pretty smile easily on the campus. It is their privilege. Seeing him photographed in the bright flashes, reporters could feel that he is a born
actor. His pose changed at each shot. Because there are a lot of fans in HYU.  Reporters asked him to greet students.

“I like to say new years greeting to readers. I would like to have a lot of fun in HYU as a student and I willing to give
you my autograph if you see me in campus.”
