Hanyang University (HYU) is planning to introduce a new Learning Management System (LMS), also known as ̔Blackboard Learn̛ for all classes beginning in the first semester of 2019. 'Blackboard Learn̛ is a learning platform from a company called Blackboard which has a 28 percent market share in North America. The latest version of the Blackboard Learning System called 'Blackboard Learn Ultra' will be used by HYU in both the Seoul and ERICA Campus.  'Blackboard Learn Ultra' is a more intuitive and user-centric platform than the conventional LMS. Inside the system, a variety of educational tasks such as conducting discussions, taking exams, and listening to recorded lectures are available.

According to Cho Hye-yoon, an employee at HYU Education Innovation Center (EIC), ̔Blackboard Learn Ultra enables efficient learning through user-centric interface, user data analysis and is a more mobile-friendly learning platform than before. We hope that students are able to go through their learning information quickly and efficiently in order to facilitate communication with the professors and become active learners.̛

To use ̔Blackboard Learn Ultra̛ you can use the existing HY-in system or access Blackboard at learn.hanyang.ac.kr through the Chrome browser. On mobile, you can use either the app Blackboard or access the system through the Chrome browser. If there are any questions or complaints, feel free to call the EIC or send a message via KakaoTalk to the HYU Blackboard Support Center by adding them as a PlusFriend (ID: hybb).
