The Hanyang University (HYU) Museum is planning to initiate three special exhibitions from May 13 to July 31 for three purposes: to honor Professor Lee Hae-sung, the celebration of HYU’s 80th anniversary, and the museum’s 30th anniversary since its opening.
‘The Figure of Hanyang’ is an exhibition the museum plans annually in an attempt to introduce notable professors or students of HYU. Specializing in the field of architecture, Professor Lee has helped in establishing numerous buildings in HYU. He also planned the overall master plan of the ERICA Campus and the Paiknam Library. The museum hopes to convey the passion Professor Lee embraced as an architect and a teacher to his future students at HYU.
The HYU Museum plans to exhibit the development of HYU, displaying the university’s growth based on specific themes. There are eight different themes: Hanyang, Campus, Department, Education, Index, Media, Brand, and Space. For example, the Campus exhibition will display the growth of Seoul and ERICA campus by presenting replicas of the campus, as well as visual materials. Meanwhile, HYU’s development in terms of its brand name will be shown in the Brand section, introducing HYU’s changes identity throughout the years since its establishment, along with paper dolls of HYU’s new mascots, HY Lion 2.0 and HY-Nari. |
