The procedure for the first Law School admission started. Hanyang University announced the list of those who had passed the first stage of the Law School entrance exam on Nov 3.

  The Law School is the system which was adopted for breeding lawyers who are experts in various fields. This system started in the U.S and U.K, which conform to the Anglo-American law. But now, even in the continental law nations, such as Japan, has adopted this system because of the tendency of the world. And South Korea decided to adopt this form starting from the 2009. HYU is one of the 25 universities which received applications for Law School and assigned 100 students for admission.

  There were 814 applicants for the 2009 Hanyang Law School. So the competitive rate was as high as 8.14:1. There are two stages for the entrance. At first stage, one's success depends on the candidates' GPA (Grade Point Average), an authorized English test record, LEET (Legal Education Eligibility Test) score (Korean reasoning and argumentation). The successful candidates are tested by the total score at first stage and LEET score (essay), personal interview, in second stage. After this procedure, the candidates who pass the second stage receive the honor of becoming the students of the Law School.

  Admission procedure of Law School is similar to that of university. Law School selects the student at two different fields which is called. "Type A", "Type B" And in "Type B" applicants who hold the high rank at 50% are admitted by a P/F (Pass or Fail) interview. The Hanyang Law School will put up the list of those who pass the admission procedure on HYU homepage on Dec 5, 2008.
