The Korea-Kazakhstan book discussion was held on May 12, in the audio-video room on the third floor of the ERICA Academic Information Center and Library(ERICA Library). 10 Hanyangians and 10 students from the University of Eurasian Institute of Humanities in Kazakhstan took part in an 86 minutes Skype video conference between the two countries.
The overall purpose of this discussion was to help understand differences between the Korean and Kazahstan cultures as well as heighten Hanyangians?capacities in order to qualify as global leaders. The main agenda of the discussion was "What is a Good Life?".
Kim Hwi-chool, a librarian at the ERICA Library quoted, "There were only 10 panels at ERICA Campus participated in the discussion, this year. We are planning to hold such video discussions in English every year. We truly hope that Hanyangians at both Seoul and ERICA campuses will be encouraged to take part in them in the future."
