An international program seminar was held at Hanyang University Business School(HUBS) on May 7. The seminar was held as a means of celebrating HUBS being selected as Hanyang University’s leading department in internationalization. At the seminar, HUBS students learned about opportunities to work or study abroad through internships and exchange programs. A lecture by war correspondent Hwang Sung-june on global affairs concluded the seminar.
  In the first half, staff members of the Center for Global Competitiveness at HUBS described the newly established international programs that are scheduled to start between this summer break and the beginning of 2014. Apart from the usual student exchange programs, HUBS is now providing dual degree courses, global affairs lectures, and team internship programs.
  HUBS was able to fund these international programs with the additional funding provided by the university as a result of being recognized as the leading department in internationalization. Professor Lee Woong-hee, Associate Dean of International Relations at HUBS said “The reason HUBS was selected as the leading department in internationalization is because Chinese and European students in particular prefer our business school. They look at Samsung and Hyundae’s success,” when asked about how HUBS has made such progress in internationalization.
  After the seminar on the international programs, war correspondent and professor at Tongwon University Hwang Sung-june gave a lecture on global affairs. He shared his views on global disputes with the Hanyangians.
