The Hanyang University Business School(HUBS) recently completed work on an English weblog called “My HUBS” which is scheduled to be launched at the beginning of the new semester, March 2014. The purpose for the launching was to help foreign exchange students at Hanyang University(HYU) better adapt to campus life in Korea while allowing them to leave with a favorable impression of HYU. My HUBS plans to post articles that provide information about HUBS, HYU, and the nearby area of Wangsimni, as well as introduce cultural sites in Seoul and travel destinations within Korea.
Since approximately 80 to 100 exchange students come to study at the School of Business every semester, HUBS made the decision to create the English blog site. “Since most foreign exchange students cannot speak Korean well, we came up with the blog idea so that any exchange students can get useful information in English while having the opportunity to  interact with Korean Hanyangians as well,” said Hur Jin, the Assistant Manager at the International Cooperation Office in the School of Business of HYU.
My HUBS will be run by student reporters who will be submitting one article per week for the site. The ideas for the articles will be discussed in regular meetings held among the reporters. Together they will choose topics that foreign exchange students would be interested in. They aim to post at least three articles per week and to update the blog every two days. HUBS has recruited two Hanyangians in the School of Business for the job and is planning to recruit two more reporters who are foreign exchange students.
