Hanyang University(HYU) attended the world’s biggest Consumer Electronics Show(CES) in Las Vegas as the first participant among Korean universities and ended on a high note on December 6, 2015. CES is an internationally renowned electronics and technology trade show that many global enterprises including Samsung and LG take part in. Leaders in Industry-University Cooperation(LINC) attended as part of their ‘Startup Global Challenge’ program, which is run to support HYU’s venture club and family companies.
Nine renovation products in particular caught the eye of consumers: those being ΔCompact Digital Lock by Platform Base ΔZentra Aria(3D printer) by Heayum InnovationΔUINCARE, smart joint motion analyzer for rehabilitation using 3D camera, by D-GATE, etc. HYU’s family company, Bench-soft, which specializes in mobileaccessories, won the 2016 Innovation Award. In addition, the Florida Institute of Technology offered to buy Zentra Aria(3D Printer).
It is remarkable that HYU took part in CES as the first runner. HYU not only promoted the businesses that they support, but also educated student participants thoroughly prior to the event for two weeks.
