To commemorate the 77th anniversary of Hanyang University, The Hanyang University(HYU) Museum decided to organize a special exhibition for students and faculty members in the HYU Museum. The exhibition is called, ̔The Traveling Human. Homo Vians,’ and is scheduled to be held from May 20th through August31st.
Any student (including graduate students) or faculty member could participate in the creation of such exhibition by submitting a photograph that captured a significant memory of him or her from a trip or vacation. Submission had to be posted on the Museum’s Facebook page or blog by April 15th and the results were announced on April 29th. The winners of the contest are having their photos exhibited in the Museum, and will receive different prizes. The first place winner will receive a free plane ticket to Turkey, while the others will receive camping gear and a new digital camera.
The exhibition is held on the 2nd floor of the Museum. The significance behind such an exhibition is that students and faculty members had the opportunity to actively participate. This is the first time that the museum has opened this kind of ‘idea contest’ for an exhibition.
