Reading the article of <Society>, I got to know that even I had defined the word ‘girlish’ with a prejudice unconsciously until now. Before I read the article I thought that a girlish woman is a person who is shy, caring her appearance a lot. However, I finally realized this is a wrong perception about gender. I also felt that women should not confine themselves in the wrong meaning of ‘girlish’ and they have to try to be more independent and confident no matter what others think.
