Hanyang University (HYU) celebrated the opening of a new Architecture Hall on September 28th at Seoul Campus. The ceremony was attended by the director of the construction, chancellor, alumni and many other involved parties. The main reason for building the Architecture Hall was to provide a studying environment to students that complimented their needs. Thus, with the help from the donations from the alumni and the school, a new hall was constructed.

5 billion won was spent in the construction which took 15 months to complete. The new hall consists of nine stories above ground and two stories underground. The library and reference room will be located underground while the exhibition hall and multipurpose room will be on the 1st floor. From the 2nd to 7th floor, there will be design studios and lecture rooms where students can work on their progjects. On the 8th floor, there will be laboratories and seminar rooms with media labs are located on the 9th floor.

"We hope to see many students using the new facilites," said an HYU employee that supervised this project.
