The slope way in the Student Union Building has been completed. It is located on the third floor, outside of the building where the subsidiary entrance is located. The student council center has many facilities such as Student Cafeteria III, coffee shops, and rest spaces for women and the disabled. However, before the construction of the slope way, those who travel with their wheelchairs could not use any of the facilities on the floors other than the ground floor due to the lack of an elevator connected to the building. After receiving continuous requests for a method for the disabled students to freely use the Student Union Building, Hanyang University (HYU) had finally decided to build a slope way. The decision was made with the collaboration of HYU Human Rights Center and the University Headquarters based on the comments provided by the disabled students.

On October 30, 2020, HYU had a completion ceremony for the slope way on the third floor of the Student Union Building. The event had started with the ribbon-cutting ceremony on the slope way, which was followed by a presentation on the process of the promotion and the construction of the slope way. In addition, there was an explanation on the usage of HYU Human Rights Center, Hanyang HappinessDream Counseling Center, and Hanyang Healthcare Center since the slope way increased accessibility to those centers.
