Starting from the spring semester of 2021, HY-ON, a next-generation Learning Management System (LMS), will be officially introduced at Hanyang U n i v e r s i t y. H Y- O N i s b a s e d o n CANVAS, a global learning management platform that major universities in the United States have adopted. Combining CANVAS with LMS customized for the educational environment of Korean universities, HY-ON will support Hanyang University students with stabilized online lectures. A c c o r d i n g t o t h e E d u c a t i o n Innovation Division at Hanyang University, HY-ON is introduced to supplement Blackboard, the existing LMS since 2019. On Blackboard, many students complained about the slow speed in changing display due to inconvenient UI structure. There were also frequent functional errors such as missing assignments and unstable access to the Collaborate system. Conclusively, errors in attendance of recorded lectures were a major problem. Now HY-ON is developed to overcome such problems. Thus, even when a functional error occurs, a quick response is available so that entire school members can be provided with a smooth remote learning environment. HY-ON supports online learning with various features. First of all, HY-ON is focused on dealing with attendance problems. With a stronger attendance infrastructure, attendance for all classes, including live lectures, recorded lectures, and off-line lectures will be easily checked. Besides, HY-ON will be linked with ZOOM LTI, which allows students to join in live ZOOM lectures directly. Moreover, access to HY-ON is available 
on various devices which allows students to easily log on to their accounts anywhere. Similar to Blackboard, there will be a mobile application for HYON.Mobile push notifications will let students get information real-time. Also, the application is divided for professors and students each, which helps users adjust to the application easily. Lastly, students can utilize additional functions like Peer Review and ClassMix for their group project. By introducing HY-ON, professors c a n s p a r e t h e i r t i m e m o s t l y o n educational aspects like preparing for lectures, rather than on technical matters. This will eventually lead to an improvement in the quality of lectures. In addition, students will be able to concentrate on their learnings solely, without any concerns for system errors. From now on, it is expected for Hanyang members to have a fresh start in 2021 with HY-ON.
