Roar Hanyangians! Hanyang University’s grand spring festival, Rachios has successfully resumed on May 25, 2022, at Seoul Campus. With the ease of the COVID-19 social distancing restrictions, many vibrant activities went on in places. To enjoy the diverse performances, the HYU students waited in line at a ticket counter to receive an admission bracelet, before entering the Hanyang Zone.

The first day of the festival kicked off with the HYU band clubs, including 소리울림, 소리로 크는 나무, 소리개벽, 락 더 보헤미안, which are belonged in the Club Association (CA). The students of the band session showed their flamboyant performances, and so as the powerful vocals performed onstage. 

‘Hanyang Singing Festival’, hosted by the special MC actress Park Jihoo and actor Yoon Chan-young, was another attractive event. Among the 8 outstanding teams, Park Jiyong, a HYU student enrolling in the department of industrial engineering, won the grand prize.

As a highlight of the first day, singer Psy performed onstage with his hit songs, including ‘Entertainer’, and ‘Gangnam Style’. Despite the chilly weather and heavily pouring rain, the festival attendees and students cheered, stood up to dance, and chanted along with Psy, enjoying the festival they have longed-for years. The flashlights lighted up the stage by the students were magnificent enough to show the heat of the festival.
