Due to the ongoing pandemic, many of us have lost the opportunity to reminisce the universal values of mankind. For those in need of support and comfort, there is an exhibi- tion that traces the records of unity, love, and peace. Last December, Getty Images debuted its first large-scale exhibition in Seoul. Since its establishment in 1995, Getty Images has recorded mankind chronology through images and videos. Its exhibition, Getty Images: Moving the World with Images, is divided into five sections and presents 330 carefully selected photographs. From collections, such as the Hulton Archive, the Picture Post, and Bert Hardy, we can see photographs featuring some of the most important moments of human history. Through the exhibition, Getty Images re-examines photography’s role that reaches beyond time and space, regardless of generation, nationality, and gender, while talking about values that we all share. As we appreciate the moments captured in the photographs, we decipher how precious life is. Visit Getty Images: Moving the World with Images yourself and find an image that connects to your world.
