My favorite restaurant in Wangsimni is the small chicken stall 'Red Cups' near the main street. If you go down from Hanyang University (HYU) towards Wangsimni Station, you can see it right across the street. They sell different sized buckets of chicken. I enjoy eating at this place because it is affordable and filling. They also have other side dishes such as fried rice cake and potato wedges, which are also very delicious. I recommend this place because it offers a really nice snacke to have in between studying. When you go to a coffee shop in Wangsimni and start to get hungry, you can go down and grab a small cup of chicken.

The restaurant I recommend is "Leedonjib." Located in the alleys of Wangsimni, this place is famous for its Kimchi stew. Many HYU students often visit here when they are looking for a hearty meal that is also filling. It is not the most affordable place, but the pork shoulder and the soup which tastes of aged Kimchi are delicious.

Next is a place where many HYU students are not aware of. If you go to the basement floor of the Wangsimni Enter-6 Fashion Square, there is an Indian restaurant called "Namastte." I strongly recommend the Curry and Naan. The food is expensive, but the experience and delicious taste is worth the price.

My favorite restaurant in Wangsimni is "Jang-eo-gui," which is famous for its Kimchi stew. This place is affordable and I love the vintage vibes of the restaurant. I really enjoy the egg rolls they offer as a complimentary. The serving sizes are so big that you can order a small size and share it with three people. Next is the Japanese restaurant "Il-lak," which is famous for their rice bowls and ramen. The food is delicious and I've been there twice so far. The serving sizes are decent and considering that it is a restaurant in Seoul, the price is also affordable. Sometimes, they close early in the evening after running out of ingredients, which proves that people love this restaurant.

Whenever I choose a menu, I first decide whether I want to eat Korean, Chinese, Japanese, Western-style food, or if I want to grab a drink.

For Korean food, I recommend "Dwae-ji-ggum," a Korean BBQ restaurant, where you can enjoy various types of delicious pork for a low price.

If you are craving Japanese food, I recommend the restaurant, "Hakuna Matata." The serving sizes are small, but if you order three menus for two people, you can eat a filling meal.

For a Western meal, I want to recommend "Ellui Pizza."

Last but not least, I recommend "Jun-dosa" if you want to grab a drink with your friends. The students in our department often go to Jundosa. You can either sit on the first floor and eat a simple meal, or you can book the rooms in the basement floors for a large party. Afterwards, you can head to  "Geum-ryong" because it is open 24 hours, and their Kansho shrimp goes well with alcohol.
