On May 7, the opening ceremony for the Haedong Academic Information Center II was held in the Engineering Building at Hanyang University on the (HYU) ERICA Campus. In order to provide Hanyangians with more convenient places to study, the Center was remodeled from March 29 to May 6 with the financial support of the Haedong Science Foundation, which was established to promote the development of industrial technologies at and public interest for HYU.

The Center is mainly for Hanyangians in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and in the Department of Transportation and Logistics Engineering at HYU, who have taken their classes in  Engineering Building II.

A reading room accommodating 74 Hanyangians, a student lounge, and seminar rooms for team project activities are available in the Center. Hanyangians can use the seminar rooms from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., while the lounge and reading room are open until midnight. Also, the Center is scheduled to be open 24 hours during examination periods.

Yu Ji-su, a Senior in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at HYU said, “The remodeling will  encourage my desire to study and provide more conveniences to Hanyangians as well.”
