Hanyang University (HYU) Leadership Center provides “Hanyang Leadership (Practice of Love)”, for Freshmen students starting in 2018, which upgraded the previous class “Human Leadership (HELP1)”. The school thought “Collaboration, Communication, Convergence and Creativity” are the four competencies required for the future in a global society, and developed them in stages in the past four years. In the past ten years, the same leadership education was totally remodeled, and personality education was introduced into Practice of Love. While HELP was business friendly and an employment-oriented content, Practice of Love expanded its scope based on career diversity. Additionally, in the existing management system, which has a strong individual learning nature, it has been changed to self-directed customized learning by providing various options such as smart learning and it has strengthened new contents such as future talent capacity and the fourth industrial revolution. Practice of Love consists of four steps: the first step is to learn correct personality and values, team projects and foundation philosophy, the second step is to learn global competitiveness and communication, the third step is to learn leadership and entrepreneurship, and the fourth step is to prepare for social advancement, creative thinking and constant self-development.

Currently, the first step is provided to the Freshmen, and next year the second step will be provided to the Sophomores and programs for the Juniors and Seniors will be gradually developed and operated. Tai Xue-mei, a staff of HYU Leadership Center said, “We aim to cultivate talented leaders who share love with the right personality and values through the practice of love, and future leaders who can flexibly respond to changes in the environment.”
