Rachios, Hanyang University's famous spring festival, has finally returned after a three-year long break. The lively festival was held at Hanyang University's Seoul Campus for three days, from May 25 to May 27. With the efforts of many people, including the HYU 50th student council HY:phen, the festival planning team, staff members, and etc. the festival ended successfully without any major accidents. During the festival, Hanyang Journal went directly into the festive scenes and interviewed various participants.

Son Seong-su, the owner of the popular fire-sushi food truck, shared that “Participating in Rachios meant a lot to us, since we haven’t been in business for two years due to COVID. This atmosphere is extremely lively, one that I never expected to see at a university. Us food truck owners went through an intense competition to participate here, but it was worth it.”

Son Jiwoo, a visiting student from Yonsei University’s department of electrical and electronic engineering, also expressed “The atmosphere of HYU’s festival is one of the best that I’ve seen in multiple universities, and I hope to visit next year as well.”

Roh Yunseo, a HYU student enrolling in the school of international studies, mentioned that “This is my first HYU festival, and it is so fun and exciting. There are so many visitors, and I acknowledged for the first time that our school can be this entertaining. I look forward to the celebrity stages, because the lineup is remarkable.”

The interviews with diverse participants express how Rachios served as a place of joy and happiness for everyone.
