The Hanyang Museum opened its first ever exhibition of Yoo Jae-ha (College of Music, 81) in remembrance of his 30th death anniversary. The exhibition takes place in the ‘theme exhibition hall’, from November 10th 2017 to June 30th 2018. This is the third exhibition held under the theme, ‘People of Hanyang’. Personal possessions and Yoo Jae-ha’s every own sheet music will be on displayed for students who want to spend an evening basking in his remembrance.

The value of Yoo Jae-ha’s music is often appraised as the innovative application of jazz harmony and classical instrumentations in popular music. His huge vinyl/CD collection shows a great variety of his musical spectrum is displayed in this exhibition. The instruments he played for his recording sessions and his previously unreleased audio files are also shown, letting Hanyang University (HYU) students to take a look at his huge amount of effort and brilliant talent.

There also are items like Jae-ha’s application paper for the classical guitar club ‘Scharmant’ and words from his company musicians he met while he was in HYU. “We tried to focus on how his life in HYU influenced on his unique style of music,” said Choi Hyo-young, the curator of the museum.
